Emily Harrington is a mezzo-soprano based in San Francisco, with a Master’s of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from New York University.  Most recently, she performed in recital Debussy’s Trois chansons de Bilitis, and selections from Schumann’s Liederkrais, Op. 39. She also participated in Arezzo, Italy’s Opera Seme, where she performed as Suor Cristina (Madre Superiora cover) for Giordano’s Mese mariano, and revisited the roles of Annio and Cherubino in scenes from Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito and Le nozze di Figaro respectively. Other notable roles include Stefano (cover) in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette for Lyric Opera of Orange County, and for Fullerton College opera scenes, Isabella in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, Dulciné in Massenet’s Don Quichotte, Orsini in Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia, and Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte.

In addition to opera, Emily enjoys jazz, folk, musical theater, and circle singing. She also plays piano in a wide range of styles and tinkers on guitar.  She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Biology, and has studied writing, acting, dance, language, and archaeology.
